The Bells of Peace by Harriette (Age 10)

Peace cannot be found

it cannot be bought or owned

peace isn't material

peace isn't being alone

it's a dove rising its wings

it's a letter from an old friend

it's the trinity inside your heart

it's a trust you will never need to mend

when people were alone and hurt

they heard the church bells ring

they remembered the faith of peace

and smiled when they heard the choir sing

because peace won't show up at your door step

it's trinity through and through

because peace isn't at your door step

it's inside of me and you.
